Arizona Digital Health Symposium

Today

Charting a course for leveraging technology to improve the health of Arizonans

Overview

We are excited to announce the Arizona Digital Health Symposium, to be held on May 16, 2025 at ASU Health Futures Center in Phoenix, AZ. This symposium will be the first of its kind in the state of Arizona, and is 1 of 18 national conversations sponsored by the Strengthening Pathways program to better translate innovations to maximize society benefits. The goal of this event will be to establish a roadmap that will accelerate pathways to fund, carry out, and apply digital health research toward preventing and managing chronic diseases and improving health outcomes. We will seed a cross-sectoral community—inclusive of academic, clinical, community, government, industry, and philanthropic partners—with the goals of diversifying inputs into early stage research programs, accelerating the discovery and translation of digital health research into clinical and community practice, and advancing Arizona as a recognized leader in digital health innovation.

What important questions will be addressed at this event?

  • What opportunities could the digital health research enterprise pursue to have an outsized impact on chronic disease prevention and management in Arizona?
  • What digital health research could happen in 5, 10, and 20 years to meaningfully improve the health of Arizonans? Which metrics would guide progress and facilitate cross-sector participation?
  • How can academic, clinical/community, and industry partners work together to address the “translation gap?” What incentives would facilitate generation and application of knowledge to prevent disease and manage disease in Arizona?
  • How might we harness the full potential of the robust clinical and community health organizations across Arizona to speed the translation of digital health technologies into practice? How can these organizations engage earlier and more robustly in the digital health research enterprise?

Who Should attend this event?

The voices of patients, caregivers, clinicians, non-profits, government agencies, healthcare administrators, investors, entrepreneurs, academic researchers, and others that have an interest in the health of Arizonans are needed to make this event a success. Our resources allow for 150 attendees. Travel support is available for attendees with demonstrated need.

We hope that your organization will consider joining us for this important endeavor to improve digital health and health care in Arizona. For inquiries, please contact Gary Gorman at bggorman@asu.edu.
